At Karalee Hack & Pony Club  we pride ourselves on providing a safe environment for you and your horse to learn.  Lessons we provide are in Dressage, Rein Drill, Troop Drill, Showjumping, Cross Country, Mounted Games and Sporting.Generally we have a different discipline every muster so the riders and family are able to see what a multi-discipline sport horse riding can be, we also have Certificate Books which are filled in by the riders to help the riders understand the care and training that is required to own a horse, what type of bridles there are, what type of saddles there are etc.  If you are planning to go the the State Titles you have to hold a specific type of Certificate level that these books achieve.  Not only do the riders learn manually, they learn mentally and also have fun.

With the KHPC yearly membership of $170.00 this covers one Rider for musters and insurance including two family members [social membership & insurance], if there are more family members an additional $25 is charged for non riders for insurance purposes. If there is more than one rider there is an extra $65 for the second rider for insurance purposes.  At musters if the rider is under the age of 18 a parent must attend the muster for safety reasons and well being of the child.

If you have a horse but are not riding or don't have a horse you would become a Pedestrian Equestrian member the joining fee is $170, this covers the individual and two family members [social membership] as the member and two family members are covered for insurance purposes.   Upon  joining KHPC the Rider or Pedestrian Equestrian member is to fill out form 1,2 & 3 - the family members are to fill out forms 1, 2 & 3 - upon completion please hand them to the KHPC club Secretary Kathy Foy at the muster with your membership money to the Club Treasurer Tracey Tudge.

To save time on your Sign up day it would be appreciated if you could print out the forms below and have them filled in :o). Pedestrian Equestrian Explanation
In the past, not everyone who loves horses has had the opportunity to join a Pony Club as they don’t own a horse. The “Pedestrian Equestrian” program is for everyone, because you do not need to have a horse to participate. You just need to be interested in horses and want to learn more.

As a Pedestrian Equestrian member, you are entitled to participate at all Karalee Hack & Pony Club activities. You are able to join in at all musters (club training days) which are held every second Sunday of the month starting at 8.30am– 2pm (Feb-Nov) and our Christmas Breakup in December where we all go away family and all, camping with our horses.

As a member of The Karalee Hack & Pony club, all PCAQ rules will apply such as when horse riding you need to wear approved riding boots and helmet. At muster days members wear our Pony Club Shirt & cream jodhpurs, the Polo/Sunsafe Pony Club shirt is available to purchase from Kim Gill our Uniforms Officer at the Clubhouse.

The muster program will involve horse care sessions on topics such as riding equipment, horse handling, grooming, horse health, common ailments, feeding and choosing a suitable paddock. Tracey [President] will have her mare "Lady" for the Pedestrian Equestrian's to practice their grooming, horse handling etc, she is 34 and still going strong but not rideable as she is retired but great for kids and adults to learn about horses.....go Lady girl!!!

We look forward to having you join The Karalee Hack & Pony Club and share in the many joys of friendship while learning to ride, groom, feed and care for a horse.
